Lacey is officially a second grader now!

Lacey finished all her first grade work and will be starting second grade next week. She finished on Wednesday and I gave her a long weekend. On Monday she starts back as a second grader. She is sooo excited! She is reading really well and very excited about school. I think I finally found something that works for us. The kids do the majority of their lessons online and the lessons are really fun and engaging. It's nice to have something that they enjoy and want to do.

We took the kids fishing

We took the kids out to my Aunts' pond to do a little fishing. She bought Lacey a fishing pole for her birthday and Lacey has been very anxious to try it out. We packed a picnic lunch and bought a box of worms (eeewwww) and headed out. The day was perfect for fishing, not too hot, a little cloudy and overcast. Lacey caught 7 fish. Lily and Kyle each caught 2 fish. We all had a really great time.
